Cooke, Jacob E., and Milton M. Klein, eds. North America in Colonial Times. New ed. Vol. 2. New York: CHARLES SCRIBNER'S SONS, 1998. Print.
This resource will be valuable to me because it has the information I need to know about the types of libraries, when and where it was established, and the education life in the late 1600's and 1700's. It explains four types of libraries; personal libraries, college libraries, church and community libraries, and social libraries. I know this source would be a source good for someone who is looking for information about the types of libraries, and how they were created. This is a secondary source. I learned that in 1731, Benjamin Franklin founded the first social library in America. A social libary is a library founded by members who used their money in order to buy books, and make them useable for colonist to come and borrow, with an exception of a fee. This resource also had information about the education in the late 1600's to the 1700's. The editor of this resource is Jacob E. Cooke and Milton M. Klein are both editors of historical books.
