Personality
What is personality?
Personality is what makes you. A personality is how you do things. For example, if you laugh a lot, your not going to stop laughing because someone told you so. It's how you are and react.
How does our personality affect our choices and behavior
Your personality affects our choices because its how we react that matters. If your nice, and your in a situation that involves saying something to your friend thats really mean, you can be nice at it. Your personality affects our behavior because what we are, can twist up our behavior. For example, if your personality means to cry after a death, it could change your behavior by making you feel depressed and sad.

Homework 09/10/09
Homework: Complete assignment. Ask parents one thing they love about the USA and one thing they would change to improve our country.
Jasmine Montebon Pd. 1 9/9/09
One thing my parents love about America is being able to wear what ever you want. When she lived in the Philippines, everyone cared on what she wore. They were making rude remarks, and comments about it. But now, living in America, changed everything. She gets compliments, and encourgment from others.
One thought my mother said that would improve out country, is having the new trash cans in Center City that compose trash, in neighborhoods too. My mother thinks it would be a better because of all the trash it could hold.

My Proverbs

"Happiness is not a station you arrive at, but a manner of traveling"
-Margaret Lee Runbeck
I choose this as a proverb for living in America because you can go anymore and find Happiness. Its not just at one place, but around. Theres beautiful things in America that make you just smile and be happy. For example New York has great shopping centers, and it just makes me happy.
"Making your mark on the world is hard. If it were easy, everybody would do it. But it's not. It takes patience, it takes commitment, and it comes with plenty of failure along the way. The real test is n
ot whether you avoid this failure, because you won't. it's whether you let it harden or shame you into inaction, or whether you learn from it; whether you choose to persevere it"-Barack Obama
I like this quote because it makes sense. Nothing in this world is easy. You cannot wake up one day and say, "I want to become a doctor." Because you can't. It takes time, practice, and patience. Living in America is a great thing because you have all of that. You can have time, practice, and patience.

"Its not that I'm so smart, It's just that I stay with problems longer"
-Albert Einstein
I like this quote because I can relate to it. Everyday I go through problems of my own, and I deal with them because thats how I learn from my mistakes. In America, its still a free country, but you still go through problems. Nothing is ever perfect, but in America you can reach a goal from learning from wrongs.

Reaction Of Obama's Education Speech
My reaction to Obama's Speech was I didn't think it was a big deal. Adults shouldn't have had to contact schools, and inform teachers they didn't want there to child to watch the speech. The speech was not political. The speech was as if an adult were telling their kids there past story as a child going to school.
When I was watching the speech online, I thought, "Wow the president is making a speech about education, why is that a bad thing?" If I were a mother and I had a child in school, I would want a public speaker, and the president of America to talk to my kids, and keep them in school. With this world going on, I want the best for everyone, and after watching that I want the best for me.
I know even before I watched the video, that sticking to my education was the best thing, but after learning about Michelle Obama's difficulties, it just wants me to go father in my life. But also past my limits, and excel in all classes.
